A Few Words About Leadership

Pastor Messer teaches on servant leadership and the paradox: to lead you must be humble and serve. An excellent message shared with his congregation as 26 new deacons were ordained for service. This message helps put in perspective how, why and what we must do to serve and bring people into maturity in Chirst.
A Gracious God and a Violent City

Johah 3:1-4:4
A Sleeping Church Before A Watching World

The recorded story of Jonah is about God. God will do whatever it takes to accomplish His will and bring about His plan. This often contains a storm to get our attention. The event in Jonah's life is like a church. God used a storm to re-direct Jonah's life. With the world events today, God is again calling the church back to obedience. The text is Jonah 1:1-16. This is a sermon in the Pursuit of God series.
A Theology of Church

Pastor Tom Messer preaches on the church using the text Ephesians 4:1-16. We are called to be faithful to a church body. God expects us to be faithful to Him by being faithful to church, his bride. We need to love the church and pass that love on to the next generation. You will find this message helpful in understanding our part in God's plan for the church. Pastor recommends reading Elmer Town's book What's Right With The Church.

An Encounter With God

On the Anniversary of Pastor Messer's 29th salvation anniversary he teaches us about the importance of a personal, true, life changing encounter with God; using some of his own steps and struggles to find God. The powerful message is a must have for the person born into a Christain home and thinks they know God because their parents or grandparents are Christians. Pastor accepted Christ in 1980 at the age of 21.
Angel and Demons

Pastor teaches us that God has created angles and demons and that play a role in the kingdom. He uses the passage I Timonthy 4:1 in this topical study.
Breaking Free from Anger

Pastor Messer preaches on the sin of anger and how we often allow it in or lives. It is often a sin we let grip our lives and make room for devil to have a foothold for distruction. In the text Ephesians 4:25-32 we are taught how to break free from anger and what the true dangers are of the sins of the soul including lying, stealing, and corrupt communication as well as anger. Pastor Messer shows us the complexity of anger, the result and consequences of anger and how to overcome anger in a healthy way. Anger is complex and we must deal with it or it will deal with us to a dire end.
Breaking Free from Mediocrity

In another "Breaking Free" message we are taught what mediocrity looks like in the Christian life and how to overcome achieving very little in life for God. The example of God's chosen people helps us break free from a negative and hostile world to live on the mountain top. While many people choose to stay in mediocrity we have a way out with Pastor Messers teaching on this topic. The text is Numbers 13:17- 14:10.
Church Life and Evangelism

This is a powerful message by Pastor Tom Messer from Matthew 4:18-20 meant to encourage all believers in Christ to share the gift we have been given. Today we live our lives like hell is not a real place. If a child was lost in your church while at sunday school, not to be found, the entire church body would run out of the building to look for the lost child. We must take that same sense of urgency in to our everyday lives to share the gospel as history comes to a close.
